8|his endurance.Library Will Givei!ITag Day And PartyITo Swell Book FundsThe Carnegie Library of Yuma will celebrate Its second birthday anniversary by holding a tag day followed by a birthday party at theLibrary in Sunset Park, on Saturday,Feb. 24, from 8 to 11 p. m.All day on Saturday, Feb, 24. the young people of Yuma will sell tags for the benefit of the Library, and everyone interested in hooks or chil-Iren, is asked to give as liberally as possible. Every cent collected onlt;ho*e tags will he spent in the purchase of good books.To add zest to the tag sale, theLibrary Board will give a book of his own choosing to the child whosells the most tags In addition to this, each child will be allowed to choose a hook for Library shelve* in return for every $2 00 worth of tags soid.In the evening the Library willhold its birthday party from 8 to 11p m. Refreshments will be served during the evening to all guests.All book lovers of Yuma or theneighboring country are cordially invited to attend. No admission fee will be charged, but everyone is asked to bring a book or present a tag at the door.Tn celebration of the anniversary the Librarian will present Library cards to all people living outside the city limits under the same conditions as to residents of Yuma. Heretofore a yearly fee of $2.00 has been charged to Yuma Valley patrons.Plans arc now being made for thedecoration of the Library buildingand Sunset Park, as the Library Board feels that after a struggle of over fifty years getting a library, the people of Yuma should make each anniversary of the opening of thei Carnegie library a gala event.If is hardly necessary, but the I Board »*ks that each citizen make this celebration a personal affairs. Not to participate, but to interest friends end acquaintances.
