Feb. 17.—The goldenwedding anniversary of Mathias M. and Catherine Faulknor was celebrated to-day with a family reunion at the Faulknor homein South Bend, forty relatives being present. This evening a dinner given at the Oliver Hotel was .followed by a reception.Mr. and Mrs. Faulknor have resided in South Bend since 1881. Previous to that date they resided at Michigan City and l.aporte, Ind. The birth place of Mr Faulknor was at FultonviUe, X, Y.. the date being Sept. 19. 1833. Mrs. Faulknor was born Jan. 10. 1834, at Bedford. Va. Of eight children seven are living, John B. Faulknor being the editor of the Michigan City Dispatch and a prominent politician of northern Indiana. The other children are Mrs. C. M. Steinbarger. Mrs. Samuel Lockhart. Miss Mary Faulknor and Frank Faulknor, of this city. Harry Faulknor, of Mishawaka, and Mrs. M. B. Putterbaugh, of Elkhart.Miss Ida Kellogg Passes Away Making Four Deaths in as Many Weeks.FROM NATURAL CAUSESSpecial to the Indtanapolls Journal.LAFAYETTE. Ind.. Feb. 17.—Death hasclaimed four members of the family ofSamuel Kellogg, of this city, in as manyweeks. This morning Ida Kellogg passedaway, the result of her Jong ordeal in carlng for the other members of the familyduring their fatal sickness. The first todie was Clark, a son. and the venerablemother followed. Then come the head ofthe family, Samuel Kellogg, and now' adaughter Is dead, leaving the family homeIn this city entirely vacant, three othermembers of the family being married and residing in other cities. Ail members of the family died natural deaths and no two from the same ailment. Miss Kellogg, who died to-day, came from Chicago to care for the sick members of her family. She labored In vain to save their lives and her self-sacrifice proved fatal.ATTORNEYS TO ATTEND
