MrB. Martha Kirk Faukcll died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mark Black more. She was born in Pennsylvania in Feb., 1809- She lived to be 87 years. 10 months and 17 days- She came 10 Iowa with her children in the spring ISth Early settlers .say that t*'ne was {rood to everybody. Truly U may be said of her that she “went about doing’ good” in her many days of active life. She was a faithful member of the Methodiat Episcopal church. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. KadcliJT In the M. E. church to a tnr*;c number of friends and relatives.
