Celebrate Fiftieth Anniversary.Mr. and Mrs. Christian Whisler, of Grandview. celebrated their fiftieth anniversary on the 16th of February, IJHjO. at their home. They were united in marriage in Dauphin county, near Harrisburg, Pa., Feb. 16, 1850.They moved to Muscatine in 1853. andat the present time reside in the cityof Grandview. Those who were present and took part in the festivities were as follows; Wm. Whisler and wife, of Chicago; Josephine Benedictand husband, of Grandview; A. F.Whisler and wife, of Muscatine; Kate Wilmering and husband, of Ixniisa county; Lizzie Kemp, of Muscatine; J. E. Whisler and wife, of Muscatine;C. B. Whisler. of Muscatine; Abraham Funk, of Cedar Rapids; (has. Shellabarger and wife, of Louisa county; Mrs. O. Sabin, of Grandview. Presents were presented by all.The children were all present except C. A. R. Whisler, Missouri; in the forenoon the guests were entertained by a good selection or graphophonepieces. At 1:30 the guests were summoned to the dining room, where all did justice to a delightful dinner. A most pleasant time was enjoyed by all. When the time arrived for the M. N*. tk S. passenger train many tender good-byes were said.After all the guests had gone and the stars began to p*ep forth the Grandview band boys favored the con|de with a most excellent serenade.
