W. M. S. Met in Young Home TuesdayThe Women s Missionary Soci'*y of the First Baptist Church, Shaw neetown. met at the home of Mrs. Byers Youns. Tuesday evening for a regular monthly meeting.The business meeting was open ed with prayer by the president. Alice Hurt. In the absence of the Program Chairman. Wanda Gill.! Mrs. Lee Caldwell was in charge of the program. An interesting program on “Witnessing Where We Are.” was given by Mrs. Hurt, Jane Young, Mamye Scherrer.; j Katherine Stubbs, Lee Caldwell | and Imogene Smith.The group surprise 1 Mrs. Young by taking gifts for her new home.Those present were Mesdames Amy Rutherford, Mamye Scherrer.! Mae Frields, Zelia Vickery, Hazel Bartley, Edna Young, Martha HiseJ Alice Hurt, Joan Hobbs, Lee Cald well. Imogene Smith, Helen Young, Connie Roark, all of Shawneetown.■Gifts were sent by Geneva Orman, Alberta Doerr, Wanda Gill and Susan Stubbs.Refreshments of cheese cake, coffee and punch were served by Imogene Smith and Lee Caldwell.
