Marriage of Rev. S. F. Cassen.At 10 o’clock yesterday morning, at Chestnut LLill, Harford county,this State, Rev. S. F. Cassen, aformer Cumberlander and pastor of the Methodist Protestant church at ! the above-named place, was marriedto Miss Bessie R. Smith, daughter of Mr. J. S. Smith. The churchwas beautifully decorated, and a j crowded audience of well-known ] people witnessed the ceremony.The popularity of the bride andgroom made the attendance unusually large. Rev. A. Orem, of Delta, Pa., assisted by Rev. J. M. Yingling, officiated. The ushers i were Messrs. John C. Robinson, H. E. Harkins, John Hamilton Smith ! and H. E. Barrow. Professor Lloyd presided at the organ. There were numerous and costly presents, and the bride and groom started on their tour to Washington and this city with the good wishes of hundreds of friends. Mr. Cassen’s pastorate at Chestnut Hill has been a very successful one and has officiated at the Methodist Protestant church iu this city frequently.
