In October last he removed from his farm to Plainfield where his youngest;* Oson, H. ft. Isherwood, is ‘employed by j i Ingle Anders. ]Mr. Isherwood was born in Rams- i bottom, Lancashire, near Manchester, J England, on Jan. 17, ISoo. He lt;remained in that country until he came lo America. From Milwaukee he drove an ox team to Portage and walked from there to Wausau, where he had a sister.On Dec. 5, 1862, he married Miss Almirette Taylor, a daughter of George E. Taylor of Plover. The following year he opened the Cottage j lt;Inn, which he kept until the advent j J of the railroads changed the mode of 1 travel from the stage to the earlv coach.During the time he was located at Wausau Mr. Isherwood was engaged in making shingles and running the 1 river. In 1S6S he purchased the farm j lt;in Plover, where he h:«l made his home ever since until last October.It is said that he was the first man to bring a threshing machine into theO #cou n tv.The deceased is survived by a widow and seven children: Clara, Mrs. Ellen Edwards, Edwin, James, George, Henrv and Grace. Miss Clara, Henrv and Miss Grace lived with their parents at Plainfield, Edwin and James are operating farms of their own inwFlover and Mrs. Edwards are managing the old homestead. Besides his immediate famiyl the deceased is survived by a brother, Henry, and sister, Mrs. Mary Colthurst of this city, and another sister, Mrs. Charles Webster, who is still in England. The latec1Mrs. Jonas White was also a sister.* The funeral will be held Monday at 1 o'clock from the old home in the town of Plover, the interment following in the Plover village cemetery.Henry Isherwood went down to Plainfield this morning to see his brother but did not arrive until after his death.
