After Fifty fears.One of those peculiarly interesting events, the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of marriage, was celebrated' by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eversole, at their residence, two miles southeast of the city, on Wednesday. The ageddouple were married on the 11th of February, 1830, in Fairfield county, Ohio, and have been residents of this county for about thirty years. The attendants were limited to the members of the relatives and a few friends. Of the family there were present Henry Eversole and family, of' Logansport, Andrew Eversole ana family and James Ledman and family. Two daughters, one residing in Colorado and the other in Missouri, were unavoidably absent. One peculiarity of the occasion was the presence of another aged couple who less than a year since celebrated their golden anniversary. There were five persons present whose ages aggregate 366 years, via: Henry Eversole, 78; Mrs. Eversole, 72; David Baum, 76; Mrs. Baum, 71; James Odell, 69. A bountiful and elegant repast was prepared, one that the participants agree was never equalled in the county, one novel featuse of which was a collection of grapes grown in Europe, contributed by Henry # Eversole, of Logansport. These anniversaries are pleasant reminders of the olden time, and enjoya-able reunions of the now limited number of hardy pioneers, the sturdy yeo-manry and blushing maidens of half a. century ago.
