resident 30 years, died Feb, 1 at the Panska nursing home after a long illness. He is survived by 5 sons, Guy, Hoy, Glenn and Clifford of Hawarden and Elmer of Elk Point, S. D.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Gladys Rich and Mrs. Glenn Dewall of Hawarden; 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a brother.Mrs. Wm, Schoiten, 80, died Jan. 30 at Orange City. Her husband had recently returned from a Sioux City hospital where, he underwent surgery for a broken hip. Bom of pioneer parents, Mrs. Schoiten was- a lifelong resident of the Orange City-Alton area. After her marriage in 1895, the Scholtens farmed northeast of Alton, and retired to Orange City some time ago. Surviving are her husband and 4 children, Anna at home, Bernard of Hull, John of Madison, Wis„ Johanna and Mrs. Lou Wielenga of Orange City; 7 grandchildren; G brothers and 1 sister, John, Ralph, Gerrit, Jim and Henry Bloemendaal all of Orange City; Wm. of Spencer and Mrs. Wm. Van Steenwyk of Orange City.Mrs. Marie Schuldi, 83, former Le Mars resident, died Jan. 31 at a Wagner, S. D., hospital after a lingering illness. Marie Ottmanns left Germany as ayoung woman, and settled in Lc-Mars. She married John Schuldt at Hull in 1893, and the family moved to Wagner in 1904. Surviving are 2 sons, 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren.Orin E. Blake, 43, died Feb. 7 at the Akron hospital after a heart attack. Born at Akron, he served in the army in the South Pacific in world war 2, and had been emlployed by the Akron Creamery for 17 years. Survivors are his wife; Madge; 3 sons, Gerald, Kenneth and Jack, all of Akron; parents, Mr, and Mrs. Dan Blake of Akron; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; including Kenneth of Akron; and a grandchild.John J, Geary, 64, lifefong Plymouth county resident, dic'd Feb. 8 at his home in Le Mars after an illness of 3M» months. Born near Neptune, he served in world war 1 with 3 Mi years overseas. Funeral service will be Friday at 9 a.m. at St. James Catholic church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Agnes; 5 sons, Vincent, Bernard and Richard of Sioux City, Cpl.
