Mr., Mrs. Ralph Fike mark 50th wedding anniversaryWESTERNPORT - Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Fike, Wood Street, were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary during the annual Christmas dinner hosted by their daughter and son-in-law.The couple was married Dec. 25, 1940 at the Church of the Brethren parsonage in Accident. The Rev. Arthur Scrogrum was the officiating clergyman. Their attendants were Frank Fike and Ruth (Fike) Gift.Mrs. Fike, the former Dorothy I. Linkswiler, is the daughter of the late James D.Maggie ( Reeves)a nLinkswiler. Mr. Fike is the son of the late S.K. and Rhoda (Merrill) Fike. He is retired from Prudential InsuranceCompany and is now a pianoteacher. The couple are active members in the Church of the Brethren where Mr. Fike also serves as pianist.Mr. ana Mrs. Fike are the parents of one daughter, Betty Lou Gift, Westernport. They also have two grandsons, Timothy Gift and Dana Gift,The couple was presented with a red carnation corsage and boutonniere. A buffet was served and the couple cut the three-tiered cake.
