L. Scott farm, north-west of this city.Tbe above mentioned articles have been disappearing at regular intervals bcs for some time past and the aforesaid Hildebrand has been absent since Monday night, when he disappeared, taking with him George Masurva, a ward of the county board of guardians. who had been placed on the farm by Dr. W. L. Scott, former president of the organization.Hildebrand came here a short time ago from Indianapolis and became a tenant on the Scott farm. Stock, grain and other stuff began suddenly to disappear and. his father being ab-seut, Gutton Scott drove to the farm Monday to investigate.He found Hildebrand in the field plowing and remained at the farm all day to watch him. Scott had no sooner started for town than Hildebrand came in from the field, hitched up a horse and buggy and, accompanied by George Masurva, drove away.He has not been seen since. Robert Haylett, an oil worker, employed on a lease on the Scott farm, brought the information to town later in the evening that Hildebrand had departed and Guiton Scott conferred with Attorney Emsbwilier as to what action to take. The result was the filing of an affidavit in Justice Day’s court cnarg-ing the farm hand with larceny.Hildebrand's crookedness was detected several days ago and young Scott telegraphed Sunday to his father at Bartlesville. Okla., where he is visiting. The son was instructed to watch the man and if the facts warranted it to have him arrested. However, the horse was gone before the gate was locked.Just how much stuff Hildebrand got away with is not known. He is known to have sold thirty bushels of corn at the Perry feed mill in this city and ma have disposed of large quantities of other grain that would not be missed from the several thousand bushels stored at the farm. A cow is missing, as well as a horse and buggy in which he made his escape.Hildebrand’s wife and mother-in-law are still at the farm. The wife denies any knowledge of her husband’s whereabouts and says that she believes she has been deserted by him.The warrant for the missing mans arrest is in the hands of Sheriff Clamiue.It is believed that Hildebrand forced young Masurva t * accompany him and that after driving some distance away will send the rig back with the boy. 1DECLARE ELECTION WASILLEGAL AND IRREGULARHuntington County Saloonists Will Ignore Result and Make Application for Licenses.Declaring that the local option elec-T is 1 Wa all ped T Wa Wa wh: Tre wh* rob 'Ides Cot a b ine eig lng inc 1beeingproWeha\whtheNEAgpaipuCbfronigStlmeco;
