Tobacco ClaimsWill Be PaidRALEIGH — Insurance Commissioner John Ingram's office has announced that approximately $1,500,000 in claims will be paid to the tobacco farmers and the tobacco warehouse owner for losses and damages sustained in a fire when the Farmers Tobacco Warehouse in Dunn was destroyed by fire onSept. 7,1978.Ingram said the Consumer Services Section of his office had been handling complaints received from the tobacco farmers of the Harnett Countyarea.
