Daniel Guy Howze,74, Dies Here Feb. 1Daniel Guy Howze. 74, died at 1 p. m., Thursday, Feb, 1 in a local hospital.The deceased was born August19, 1887 in Groesbeck and had lived most of his life in Lott and the Durango community. He was a retired farmer.Funeral services were held at 12 p. m. Saturday from Niehol-son-Hoelscher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Howze of Big Spring and Rev. Grady Taylor of Waco, nephews of the deceased, officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Durango with Nieholson-Hoelscher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.Survivors include a daughter, Mrs, A. M. Tobias of Lott; one sister, Mrs. Molly Taylor ofArlington and five grandchildren. His wife preceded him in deathin 1953.Pallbearers were Ira Howze of Dallas, Cliff Howze of Hewitt, Jim Scott of Fort Worth, Cecil Dekle, Guy Dekle and Elmer Tye, all of Waco.Honorary pallbearers werenephew's of the deceased.
