Polite Academy Graduates Woman, 17 Men from AreaOne policewoman and 17 polioenvan from the Valley today are on duty in the various police divisions of the Los Angeles Police Dept, following their graduation from die Police Academy.The policewoman, Rose Kathleen Marcum, and three policemen have been assigned to the V an Nuys Division.Officer Marcum is married to William Marcum and they have a son, Michael. She was graduated from Van Nuys High School and attended Pierce College for one and one-half years.Attended Pierce College -The other officers are Carl Brian Conkle, Raymond p. Paladino, and William C*. O'Hara.Conkle, who is single, lives in Tarzana. He was graduated from Reseda High School, attended. Pierce College and Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelor of science degree in business administration.Paladino also was- graduated from Reseda High School and attended Pierce College. He and Ms -wife, Robin L., live in Reseda.Knapp was graduated from U.S. Grant High School and attended UCLA for two years. He and his wife Penny have a daughter Terri.Farchione was graduated from Steubenville High School in Ohio. His wife is Loretta, and they have three children, Shawn, Tony and Nicole.Beatty was graduated from El Camino, Real High School and served in the Marine Corps enlisting in 1966. He Is George Robert O'Connor of San Fernando who was graduated from Sylraar High School and attended Los Angeles State College and Valley College from which he received Iris Associate of arts degree.
