Tale of-Coeburn . speaking of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Rhonda Ann Riddle Tate, who has been looking forward to her 102nd birthday today. •Ml’S. Tate, who makes her home with her son “Ish” and liis wife, was horn in Harlan County, Ky., Feb. C, 18G2, but lias spent most of her life in Virginia.She and her husband, W. M, Tate, raised 10 children—nine boys and one girl. Three of the sons are still living—T. P. of Coeburn, E. B. of Norton and ii. T. of Gale City—ulong with the daughler, Mrs. Logan Carico of Coeburn.Mrs. Tale looks surprisingly well for her age, and can get around the house without using « cane.She says she docsn’L try to do very much, just depends on “Jsh and his wife to lake care of her. A Norton buttling company sent her five cases of her favorite soft drink on her 100th birthday.Mrs. Tate has a scrapbook with newspaper clippings about her 1001b birthday, along with birthday greetings.Among her most prized possessions is a birthday card from the late President John F. Kennedy, congratulating her on her 100th birthday. She also has one from Congressman W.
