T. F. Oeverlys setII %# IOn the 7th of February, 1960, an open house will be held at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Willard F. Cleverly at 6481 South Center 0, Bountiful, to honor Mr. and Sirs. Thomas Frank Cleverly. They will have been married for 50 years on the 9th of February, a grand tribute to a kindly couple. Thomas Frank Cleverly was bom the 12th of January, 1890, in South Bountiful and except for two years, which he lived in Nevada, he has lived all his life in this area. Mrs. Cleverly was born 29th of August 1892 in Salt Lake City. They were married on the 9th.of February, 1910 in South Bountiful and were scaled in the Salt Lake Temple two years later.Mr. Cleverly worked for the Utah Oil Refinery for 18 years. Two years as a rancher in Deeth, Nevada and twelve years at the Naval Base in Clearfield before he retired five years .ago. Now that he is retired, Mr. Cleverly has put more time Innto the hobby he has loved all his life. lie plants more ,'than 10,000 gladiola bulbs each year and is very generous . with his beautiful flowers. Winning prizes at the County and State Fairs are naturally his line as his green thumb always produces quality products. Pigeons are a specialty also and his birds number more than 10 at his home on 246 North Main, North Salt Lake. Children always come to watch and trade.Mrs. Cleverly has been a lov-inf mother and has raised eight children of fine standing in com munity life and the church. Her cheerful manner and understanding ways make her lops in everything, a fine tribute, especially from a daughter-in-law She has worked In Relief Society all her life and also in genealogy. Their eight children are Willard F. and Veryl of Bountiful, Aaron Lee of North Salt Lake, Lawrence of Fruit-land Idaho and Mrs. C. M. Hudson (Lorraine) of San Luis Obis bo, Calif., Mrs. LaMont Hatch (Arlean) of Downey, Calif,, and Mrs, Dale Thompson (Ann) and Darrell of Salt Lake City. They have 23 grand children and eight groat grand children. They have requested no gifts at the open house but would love to have all their friendt call. j«r
