Here he served for several years and then finished his apprenticeship with Peter Hodman, of iCold Point. When he was 21 years of age, Mr. Freas was employed in the shop of James Wrigley, Conshohocken. latter he was employed with Jacob Or-ssell, of the same place, for six years, and then in lXt*7 be removed to Hlck-orytown w'here he now resides.On January 31, ISiSD, he married Mary Jane Moyer, daughter of the ate Enoch Moyer and llll/a Wldger, ard they took up their residence in i Unsholiceken. removing to Hickory* town two years later..Mrs. Freas was bom in Gwyaodd, near the present settlement of Penn-ilyn. ficvernl years later her parents relinquished housekeeping and removed to Norristown, where they died. She was one of six children, rtf whom one brother •survives. Charles Moyer, who resides near the plku be-ween proud Axe and Cold Point. Anther brother. WliHivM, died recently -n Philadelphia.Mr. and Mrs. Freas arc the parents of IB children, of whom the following are living: Margaret, wife of David Rhoads, or Hickorytown; Samuel, of Philadelphia; Ida. wife of Edward Gerhart, of Plymouth; Matilda, wife if Kugenc I-lghtkop, of IHlckorytown.- Mr. Freon has now retired froim his former township activities. He was tax collector for five years, and has also served on the township school board, and also us judge of election and constable for several years, lie Is sirctiK and rugged, a toll preserved run of irca coaatitu-ion.
