[nd., Feb. 4.—The explosion ol several hundred Quarts of nitroglycerin at the magazine of lIic Empire Glycerine company, two miles northeast of here, blew Perry Fort to atoms, killed two horses and demolished the wagon. Fort was at the magazine unloading the glycerine. No one knows the cause of the explosion. H. F. Mossitt. employed by a gas company was at work about 1,200 yards away. He was knocked down by the concussion and rendered unconscious. H? says that a few moments before the explosion he saw Fort on toy of the wagon in a stooping position. The accident, happened on the- farm of Alva Paine and the spot where the magazine stood is now marked by a hole in the ground twelve feet square, and about fifteen feet deep. A short, distance away is another hole of similar size, and in it were found pieces of tin cans and bits of the demolished wagon, Only small pieces of Fort's body have been found, and some of them were three hundred feet away from where he was at work, pieces of horseflesh were blown into the trees, and from them blood dripped to the ground below.
