ESSAY WINNER—ThomasSolberg, a senior at Aquinas High School, received a $50 savings bond from the Central La Crosse LionsClub Monday night for winning the club’s peace essay contest. Solberg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Solberg, 2317 Winnebago St., was also presented a plaque from Lions International atthe dinner meeting in the Fireside. The essay will be judged in the district contestFeb. 10.
