ESSAY WINNER—Thomas Solberg, a senior at Aquinas High School, received a $50 savings bond from the Central La Crosse Lions Club Monday night for winning the club’s peace essay contest. Solberg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Solberg, 2317 Winnebago St., was also presented a plaque from Lions International at the dinner meeting in the Fireside. The essay will be judged in the district contest Feb. 10.
