Miss Janice Koonsman Becomes Mrs. Rex Careyr\11fiirj15IrIMiss Janice Elaine Koonsman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Koonsman, Route 2, Hico, and Lt. Rex Carey, son of Mr. and Mrs# Fred Carey, Route 3, Stephenville, were married at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Selden Baptist Church. Rev. John Adams read the double-ring ceremony.Miss Nova Wood played nuptial music and accompanied Miss Ly-nell Wood as she sang The Lord’s Prayer”, and Miss Lynell Wood and Paul Koonsman as they sang Walk Hand in Hand”.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin, princess-styled gown. The bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and short puffed sleeves and flared from the snug waistline to a skirt fullness at the hem. Lace mitts complemented the bridal attire. The tulle veil of illusion was caught to a tiara of pearls. The bride carried an orchid atop a white Bible.Miss Nancy Koonsman, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Mrs. Harvey Spross of Bryan and Miss Judy Walker of Morgan Mill were the candlelighters and Deana Koonsman, the bride’s sister, wasflower girl.Bridal attendants wore street-!I- ' S • /Vlength dresses of red taffeta styled princess. The maid of honor and the flower girl carried nosegays of pom-poms.Capt. Kenneth Carey of Laredo served his brother as best man. Ushers were Paul Koonsman, brother of the bride and Harvey Spross of Bryan. Danny McGough, a cousin of the bridegroom, wasringbearer.The reception was held in the Selden Community Club. Members of the houseparty were Misses Bettie Cook, Betty Park, Linda McGough, Nadyne Zimmerman andKay Fulcher.For a wedding trip to Colorado the bride wore a red wool jersey sheath dress with brown alligator accessories. Her corsage was the orchid from the bridal bouquet.Following the wedding trip the couple will be at home at the Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.Mrs. Carey is a graduate of the Stephenville High School and has attended Tarleton State College. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Stephenville High School, attended Tarleton State College and Baylor University and is stationed with the Air Force in South Dakota.
