KINGSTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHPlans were discussed at a community meeting last night for the celebration of the centennial'anniversary of this church in August. This is the mother church of the Presbyterian faith in the county. In 1821 to 1823 a number of families settled near Kingston, coming; from the old concord church in 'Nicholas county, Ky., where all the 200 members except one were abolitionists.The date of the organization of the church which was christened Sand-creek Presbyterian church is said io have been Dec. 18, 1823. Rev. John Moreland preached the sermon thatday. Samuel Donnell, John Hopkins, John C. McCoy and William O. Rosswere elected elders.Preaching services were held only once a year until 1826 when twelve members withdrew to organize a | church in Greensburg with Rev. S. G. [•Lowry as pastor of both churches. He was succeeeded in 1833 by Rev. John Weaver. Rev. A. T. Rankin was pastor of this church from 1860 to 1890. The present building was erected in 1878. In 1898 the church celebrated its 75jth anniversarry when Rev. R. A. Bartlett was pastor. The present pastor is Rev. J. K. Bliss. I
