Beverly AdamsBESSEMER — Beverly Mae Adams, 66, of 105 N., Clayberg St., Bessemer, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, 1995 at the Memorial Medical Center, Ashland, Wis.The former Beverly Ross was born Feb. 16, 1928 at Ironwood, daughter of the late John and Mae (Maki) Ross. She attended schools in Ironwood and Bessemer, graduating from the A.D. Johnston High School in 1946. She also attended Gogebic Community College.She was employed by the Michigan Secretary of State office until she retired in 1977.She was a member of the Sharon Lutheran Church, Bessemer, and the American Legion Auxiliary, where she was a past president and held other various offices.On March 3, 1951 she was married to Louis B. Adams at Bessemer.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Elaine Williams.Survivors include her husband, Louis; four sons, Tom of Ramsay, Greg (Barb) of Bessemer, Bob of Wakefield and Rick of Clarksville, Mich.; a daughter, Kathy (Dave) Paynter of Bessemer; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, John of East Lansing, Mich, and Harvey (Bev) of Davison, Mich.A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Sharon Lutheran Church in Bessemer, the Rev. Nathan Sager officiating.Visitation will be held at the church Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.Memorials may be made to the Sharon Lutheran Church Bearer Free project.The Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home, Bessemer, is in charge of arrangements.
