They were married Jan. 27, 19G5, in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, following their n arriage in Scotland Mr. and Mrs. McNiven came to reside m Winnipeg. Mrs. McNiven was born in Lesmahagow, Mr. McNiven in Stonehouse, Scotland They have lived all their married life in Winnipeg, 47 years in their present home Mr. and Mrs. McNiven’s only son, John McNiven, and Mrs. McNiven, entertained Thursday evening in their honor. Mrs. j. H Hallet presided over the tea cups. Mrs. McNiven’s niece. Mrs. A N Dixon, Sioux Lookout, Ont., madethe wadding cake and came with Mr. Dixon to the anniversary celebration Another niece, Mrs E Cousens, came from Vancouver. Mr. and Mrs. McNiven have one grandson Mr McNiven was a stonemason for many years with the Pattinson-Eilbe'k Co , retiring 10 years ago.
