$lfls»’Ilt;iuie Comiuiir Election.Tlie stockholders of the Sioss Marblehead Lime company hold its annual meeting Monday and elected the fob lowing officers and directors—Stevenson Burke, president; Magnus Butzelt, of Detroit, vice president; U, A. Gar-retson, tieasurei; Sol SIoss, secretaryand general manager. Directors— (4. A. Garretson, Stevenson Burke, B. Salbcrg and Sol Sloes, of Cleveland; Magnus Butzell, S. Hearomrich and E. S, Ileinetnan, of Detroit. General Manager Sloes reports the outlook for the year to be very encouraging, largo orders being received daily. The com -has worked six of its eighteen kilns all winter.The company did a large business in 1889—their output being ovor 300,000 barrels of lime. With the additional twelve new kilns they expect to sell a I half million barrels of lime in 1890. The finest of lime has been sold a© low as 88 cents per barreL at present. The Sloes Marblehead Lime company sent out a quotation in November, 1889, at 40 cent© per barrel, and that price has been in vogue ever since and as it looks at present, 40 cents will be the prevailing and ruling price. Eventhe price of fuel oil advanced two cents per barrel on lime, and prices for barrel material and barrels have also advanced about two cent© per barrel, and it look© as if Marblehead lime will be sold at less than cost for 1890.The Sloss Marblohead Lime company at their annual meeting here concluded to erect six additional kilns, making a total of twenty-four kilns.
