MISS HAZEL HILTON BECOMES BRIDE OF MR. DON MILAM IN CEREMONY DEC. 15, 1946In a ceremony markcu with beauty and simplicity, Miss Ha/el Hilton, daughter oi Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hilton of Huston, became the bride of. Mr. Don H- Milam, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Milam, Jr., also of Huston, December 15. The wedding was solemnized In the home of the bride's parents in the presenceof close friends and relatives at 4 o'clock. Rev. C. S. Cadwalladct officiated at the double ring ceremony.Vows were exchanged before a profusion of fern and greenery with white standing baskets of white gladioli and white chrysanthemums. Floor candelabra holding white tapers illuminated the scene.Mr. C. W. Hilton, brother of the bride, was at the piano and rendered the wedding music and accompanied a trio, former students of theJrridc. composed of Misses Gloria Bullock, Amanda Wilder, and Helen Ford, who wore models of pastel wool with pink carnation corsages. They sang Star Dust while Mr. Hayward Hilton, brother of the bride, lighted the eandies,- then, gave their rendition - of L‘ Amour-Toujours-L’ Amour.*' During the lt;|;changlng of Vow*. •'Clair dc* Lune was sottfy played..The-faeidb'given In ' marriageby her father wore an advanced spring model by Cariye of snow blue erepe with insets of lace on the shoulders. Her accessories were black patent, and a half hat of black sequins with shoulder length veil. She carried a white Bible toped with gardenias encircled with maline and tuberoses from which fell white satin streamers tied with tiny white blossoms. For something old, she carried an embroidered handkerchief used by her matron of honor at her wedding. ;and as her only ornament, she wore a watch given to her by the groom.Mrs. C. W. Hilton 'served as matron of honor and only attend-enL- She wore a navy ensemble with patent accessories and corsage of white split carnations.Hale M. Walker of Ruston served the groom as best man.The bride's mother chose for her daughters wadding a model; of navy blue crepe with a cor-' sage of white split carnations. The mother of . the bride groom wore a two-piece gray. dqlt sprinkled with.silver nail heads and a corsage of pink carnations.A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The bride's table was overlaid with an exquisite lace lcoth centered with an unusual arrange-.ment of pink perfection camellias and illuminated with tlen-■ der white tapers In crystal candle holders. At one end of the table Miss Gloria Bullock presided over the embossed three tiered wedding cake, and Miss Helen Ford served punch from a crystal bowl at the opposite end of the table. Miss Amanda Wilder, Mrs. David Cook and Mrs. D. W. Hilton assisted in serving courtesies. Mrs. John H. White Christmas,” vocal solo by Harriet Crowder, accompanied by her mother. The Night Before Christmas, poem was recited by-Dorothy Bums. Christmas in Other Lands” was given by Louise TtuYnk
