Marvin and Anita Piepenbrink in 1940Anita and MarvinPiepenbrinkAnita and Marvin Piepenbrink of Crete celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec 23 at a family dinner given by their daughters at Harry's Old Town Restaurant in Crete The couple were married Dec 29. 1940. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crete.Mrs Piepenbrink is the former Anita Wassmann.Piepenbrink is a retired farmer and former volunteer firefighter in rural Crete.The Piepenbrinks are members of Trinity Lutheran Church Children of the couple are Marva Jean Eckman of Pekin;Ruth Plauck of Oswego; and Lou* The couple also have 13 grand-ann Oppits of Invor Grove children and five great* Heights.
