Amongothers still living in the vicinity who attended the wedding are Aaron Little of Comanche and Mrs. Julia Johnson of I’ottsville.Mrs. Little is a native of Comanche lt;‘ount\ and was born at th * old Alhin homestead nearOld Cora, June 25, 1802 duringhe Civil War. She has lived in the county all her 'life with theexception of three years. Mr.I ittto was horn in Alabama on St. Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1858 and came with his parents, the late Mr. nnj Mrs. William Little to Texas in 18th), first settling in (iravson Countv and•r ”moved to Comanche countv the 1%ext year, settling near Newburg. jWith the exception of three !years spent on a ranch in Sutton County from 1898 to 1901 I end three months prospecting in | i he then Washington Territory,C alifornia and other northwestern points in 1887, Mr. and Mrs. Little have spent all their married life in Comanche County. Previous to their marriage, Mr.I it tie was a cowboy and wentup the trial several several times. Crabb, and two are deceased.4*When we married fifty years ago, a housekeeping outfit was not a fourth so elaborate as is required even during the depression of today/’ Mrs. Little said. “The next day after the infare, Henry and I came to Comanche to buy our outfit and with the exf?ption of a wood cook stovewhich 1 bought fiom Fred Grim, ( omanche’s popular hardware merchant at that time, I carried all my purchases back in a basket and it was some time afterwards before we could buy such luxuries as a bedstead,” she said. Our first home was on the Cowhouse and for a time 1 didmy cooking out of doors in askillet on an open fire until Henry could find a way to provide for some stove pipe,” Mrs.I it tie concluded.1
