One nf the must festive of theholiday buffets was that given by Hick and Sally Pfeiffer in honor of Gladys Pfeiffer's 85th birthday The whole side of the house, high on Austin Bluffs, was covered by a huge star with a manger scene beneath Inside the gaily deco- .rated house where gold and red were the predominate colors, guest of honor Gladys shone in her special-for-the-occasion handsome red chiffon gown While a large number of friends of all ages had come to congratulate the birthday lady, the most important to her were the members of her family Pat and William Pfeiffer and their four children, Jan, Bob, Kristi, and Eric; Sally and Dick’s sons, Hick and Phillip (who ran a taxi service ferrying guests up the hill-side»; the Jack Pfeiffers fromDenver with Jeam and Cathy andSusan, her only daughter. Sue. plus her husband, Gene Daniels and their children.
