tagies to oame BulldogsThe Joplin Eagle quint faces their first game in Springfield’s Blue-Gold tournament play today while McAuley is idle in the Neosho tourney,Russ Kaminsky’s Joplin high school Eagles will attempt to maintain their unblemished record when they meet with the Springfield Central Bulldogs in the quarter-final round games of Springfield’s Greenwood Blue-Gold Tournament.Joplin drew a bye in first-round play in the Gold bracket of the tournament. The Eagle quint is favored to place first.Thus far this season, the Eagles have bowled over Neosho, Carthage, and Buffalo.“I feel that if we give all we have and the boys play their hardest, ” said Kaminsky, ‘'there’s no reason why we can’t win all of our games this season.”Kaminsky feels that Springfield Central will be tough. “They aren’t rated as high as we are but that’s no reason why they can’t come through to upset us if we aren’t alert.”Springfield Parkview is top-seeded in the Blue division while Joplin is ranked number one in the Gold division.
