Miller’s open house to offer their congratulations on the couple’s golden j wedding anniversary.1 Many phone calls were received' from friends who were unable to cope with the weather, but wished to express their ;best wishes.Lovell Miller and AlwildaI Smith were married December --21, 1911, in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Harvey in 1913. Mr. Miller is a retired employee of Bliss and Laughlin where hespent 28 years.Their son Edwin, w i t h his wife, and son Douglas, came from Detroit for the festivities. Mrs. Edwin Miller had made the decorations including a festive gold-trimmed tablecloth, and had baked the anniversary cake.Another son, Carl, who lives in Rhode Island, was unable to attend as there was illness in his family.The Millers have four grandchildren.
