The entire family was present, seven sons and one daughter and families, namely: W. Elmer Bowman, wife and two sons, John and J.; Homer Bowman, wife and two sons, Harold and Gerald; Warner Bowman, wife, son Robert, and daughter, Margaret; Isaac Bowman, wife and daughter Elizabeth; Roy Bowman, wife, son Cyril and daughter, Nelma; Luther Thompson and wife; Ada Bowman Thompson; Earl Bowman and wife. Other guests present were, Mr. and Mrs. William Whistler, Mrs. Kestler and Helen Parks. William Whistler is a brother of Mrs. Jacob Bowman.Jacob Bowman was born in Cumberland county, Penn., in the year 1835, and came to Rockfield in 1860, where he has since resided. He was married to Mary Whistler in 1862.Mary Whistler was born in Franklin county, Penn., in 1845, and came to Indiana in 1855. To them were born eleven children, seven of whom are living, and met with them on Christmas day. Many presents were given them. A cane and ring were presented them by their children.
