Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scheerer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today at Filake Baptist Church, southeast of Avilla.Friends and relatives may attend the open house from 2 to 4 p.m Scheerer and the former Ruth Fasken were married Dec. 26. 1931, at Columbus. Kan. They have lived in the Avilla/ Carthage area 36 years. Fie is a retired farmer and retired employee of Steadley’s Manufacturing, Carthage.The couple have a son, Hubert Scheerer of Sar-coxie, and three grandchildren.
