G. Slattum of Joice, Dec. 19, at Beaver Creek Lutheran church west of Joice. The service was conducted by the Rev. . Norris Wogen of Kanawha, uncle of the bridegroom, ana assisted by the Rev. L. F, Scheie of Joice.Nuptial music was played by Ruth Heimdal who also accompanied James Tweed, brother of the bride, soloist.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Richard Arneson, as matron of honor. Another sister, Diane, was junior bridesmaid. Her niece, Mary Reinsmoen was flowergirl and Shirley Slattum, sister of the bridegroom, was an usheref.Darrel Slattum attended his brother as bestman, Dennis Tweed, brother of the bride, was junior bestman and David Skellenger, nephew of the bridegroom was ringbearer. Herschel Tweed, brother of the bride was an. usher.A reception for the immediate families and bridal party was held in the church parlors.The bride and bridegroom were both graduated from the Joice high school. The bride attended Luther college, Decorah, one year and has been employed in Mason City the past 2 years. The bridegroom is a veteran of 22 months of naval service and now attends Iowa State college at Ames where he is studying architectural engineering.
