Church of Voorhees Hill were quests of honor at a Golden Wedding reception given by their children Sunday afternoon at the Christian Temple Church.Mrs. Church wore a wine crepe dress with lace bodice and a corsage of sweetheart roses.The table was centered with a five - tiered bride's cake topped with a trio of golden bells tied with gold ribbon. Yellow chrysanthemums and baskets of hemlock with tiny cones were simply arranged for further decor.On the gift table was placed a small, lovely spruce tree fn a gold-covered dish, and from its branches hung*a profusion of gold - foil wrapped silver dollars.This “money - tree” was a present from their seven children; Lytle and Clair Church of Knoxville, Pa., Mrs. Chris Kruger, Mrs. Donald Willis and Mrs. Charles V. Edwards of Welisville, Mrs. Francis Mead of Elm Valley and Mrs. Allen Stout of Hallsport.There were 22 grandchildren present. Only two members of the family were unable to attend, Mrs.Robert Erdmann of Holcomb, another grandchild, and her year-old daughter Cynthia, the Churches only great-grandchild.Mrs. Glenn Ruger of Andover, only living aunt of Mrs. Church, and an uncle, Frank Bird of Almond were present. Mrs. Herbert Adams, an aunt of Mr. Church, also attended. Other guests came from Elmira, Waverly, Richbtirg, Belmont and other nearby communities.Raymond and Ina Sherwood Church were married Dec. 22, 1908 at the Methodist Parsonage in Welisville by the Rev. F. H. Van j Keuren, They wpre attended by the sister of the groom, Grace Marie Church of Welisville and her fiance, Floyd E. Fanton of Willing.
