in Providence, Rhode Island. This is his first visit home for twenty-four years.Mrs. James X. Adams who ha3 been visiting her sister, Mrs Gerrit Donaldson, left Thursday for her home in Milwaukee. Mrs. A. came to attend the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Donaldson. Among other guests were Mi ss Mariette Donaldson, of St. Helena, Cal., and Miss Mary Wahns of Albany, X. Y. Theie were three persons present who witnessed the ceremony which fifty years ago, and a thousand miles from Iowa, united Gerrit Dona ldson and Cordelia T. Borthwick in the bonds of matrimony.
