NATIONAL PROJECT ♦ Frank Schiesinger ofDoylestown was on? of a group of noted architects from throughout the nation who aided in a federal-sponsored research project undertaken in the School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky. The architects and teams of UK architecture majors have developed designs for emergency operations centers appropriate for each ofeight geographical regions of the nation. I he study was supported hv a grant from theOffice of Civilian Defense and is intended to show how Vmerican cities might better prepare for i norgencies, ranging from hurricanes and floodsto nuclear attacks.
