S, armed forces, some of them now serving overseas, and Mrs. McCoy is justly proud of them all. She and Mr. McCoy reared nine of their 10 children, losing one son in infancy. Mr. McCoy died in April, 1926, only two months before they would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.Several years ago when one of her daughters-in-law died, Mrs. McCoy took four grandchildren into her home and started practically rearing a family ail over again, one of them, a granddaughter, is still with her and attending high school in Ketchum.She has 40 grandchildren altogether, and more than 40 greatgrandchildren.When asked if she recalled any especially fascinating events about the early days in KeUshum, Mrs. McCoy said there are so many things she could tell, if one could spend some time visiting with her, that just offhand it would be difficult to say what would be the most Interesting.The TestOften the test of a person’s character and place in the hearts of follow citizens is revealed more ac-curafcely by a youngster than anyone else, and I feel this one incident tells better than anything how beloved Mrs. McCoy is in her home community.Desiring to meet her, I inquired of a school boy if he knew her. Say she’d love to have you, she's the nicest Kind of person.”Joint Rites for Mother, DaughterBURLEY, Dec. 23—Mrs. Marie Babbitt Anderson, 41, wife of James P. Anderson was honored at last rites in Oakley L.D.S. Second ward chapel, with Bishop Rosel Hale officiating. The rites also were for an infant daughter, born, who died three hours after birth. Mrs. Anderson died of severe bums received Nov, 17, and of childbirth.A mixed quartet sang “Sometime Welt Understand,” and Bishop John Darrington, Declo gave the invocation. Forrest Severe sang “A Perfect Day.”Speakers were Cyrus Hunter. George Severe. Bishop Hale. Mrs. Severe and Mrs. M. S. Smith sang Whispering Hope, and the quartet sang Nearer My God to Thee.” Charles Clark said the benediction.Fred Darrington dedicated the grave at Oakley cemetery. Pallbearers were sons and nephew's. Flowers were carried by little nieces, with Mrs. Anne Bedke in charge, Her sons James Arnold Anderson and Solomon Deland Anderson were home from army camps in North Carolina and Mississippi, respectively.
