Hord, Tebbetts, will be guests of honor at a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in Tebbetts.Mr. and Mrs. Hord observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday. The couple was married Dec. 18, 1913 in St. Louis, and was attended by Mrs. Hord’s sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. W. R, Sullins, of Mokane.The Hords have five living j children, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Stoll, Mrs. Harold (Becky) Turner, of Tebbetts; Mrs. Billy (Elsie) Clay, Fulton; Mrs. William (Martha) Shiverdecker,Shawnee, Kan; and David Hord, Carbondale, 111. Another son, George Hord, was killed in World War II.They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.The public is invited to the reception. Mr. and Mrs. Hord request no gifts.
