Youth Fined $100In Fatality CasewLEE —A 17-year-old youth was fined $100 Tuesday in Leo District Court after the court accepted his plea of nolo to the charge of driving to endanger. The charge resulted from the Nov. 26 accident which resulted in the death of 5-year-old Lynn M. Feltre of Fairview Street.Robert J. Bartini, also of Fairview Street, did not testify Tuesday but his statement given to police following the accident was read aloud. The statement said Rartini was driving south on Fairview Street, had slowed for an oncoming car and was just starting up again when the accident happened.It was dark, the statement indicated, and Bartini did not see the little girl until she was right in front of his car and he was unable to stop in time. The girl was reportedly crossing the street to return home after visiting friends.Lynn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Feltre Jr. of Fairview Street. Bartini was the girl’s cousin.In other court business Tuesday. Frederick J. Bunell, 17, of Route 1S3. Stockbridge, was fined $15 after he was found guilty of a speeding charge. He pleaded not guilty.Paying spet'ding fines of $15 each in court Tuesday were (Jerald A. Bissonnette of Springfield, Bruce N. Larabee of Lebanon, N.Y.. and David B. Loveless of Stockbridge.
