A large birthday cake, in celebration of Texas’ one-hundredth anniversary will be the contribution of the Centennial Exposition to the Sun Carnival which will open Centennial year at El Paso, January 1. The enormous cake will be placed on a float in the Sun Carnival parade. It will have one immense candle signifying the one hundredth anniversary of Texas Liberty. On the float will be seated a Dallas debutant representing the Centennial Exposition, and she will be equipped with a monster knife, ten feet long with which to slice the birthday offering. The float will fly for the first time the flag of the Centennial Exposition, its colors composite of the six emblems which have flown above Texas soil.
