Of course | •« t ho first thing that attracted our attention, was the painting of Tho Assumption, on the west wall, over the large attar. It is ft raastor piece of art, and cannot fail to inspire hallowed thoughts j q in the breasts of all who gaze upon it. | C The upper part of the altar, when iu plaoe, will form a massive frame around this painting. Tho £ ceiling is divided into sections by tho ( massive trusses and purlines that sup- t port the roof, inside of these sootions 11 are paintings of tho Apostles, and Renowned Saints. The windows of the church are of heavy stained gloss, and ure all memoriallwindows, ind as near as we can remember are os follows:The largo window in the oast end. presented by T. H. Tobin, ooatains paintings of the four Evangelista, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.Over the sanctuary, on tho north aide, is one presented by the Rev. J. J. y Smith, on the south aide, one by the' children of Thomas and Mary A. White,The other windows on the; south aide (commencing at'the west)* are by Rev. J. J. Smith, P. Joyce, children of J. and A. Nolan, Robert Shea, Patrick Nolan and Wm. Jackman.On the north aide, (beginning' at the east end) the windows ore fcom Lott +' LaughUn, Mr and Mrs. Dimtor, J.Neary, and the Mulronoy family. Thesewindows aro alt in memory of departed friends. At tho apex of each window is a scriptural emblem, amonjg.w.hioh we namo tho following, The Trinity Sao* rament, Incense, Cross and Mary, Lamb of God, The Alt Seeing Eye.
