Golden anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Louis G. TiberiMr. and Mrs. Louis G. Tiberi, 2112 W. 121st St., Blue Island, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday. Nov. 23. Highlights of the day saw Mr. and Mrs. Tiberi renew their wedding vows at 12:15 Mass in St. Benedict church with Fr. Edward Connors officiating. Their grandsons Louis and Tom Tiberi and Earl Ebers III served as altar boys. Their best man and maid of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Genoa, formerly of Roseland, now of Humboldt, Nebraska, traveled to Blue Island to take their place in the ceremony and honor their old friends.An Open House buffet dinner for some 200 friends and relatives was given and prepared by their children- Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ebers, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tiberi, Jr. and David Bauer. The parly was held at the home of their daughter, Loretta Ebers, following the Mass.Mr. and Mrs. Tiber! are lifelong residents of Blue Island. Mr. Tiberi is retired from Rhcem Manufacturing Co., Chicago. Mrs. Tiberi enjoys the distinguished honor of being the only volunteer to have served over 6,000 hours as a member of St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary. The Tlberl’s are also the parents of the late Marie Tiberi and Virginia Bauer. They are the grandparents of 12.
