Bays, who previously reported from Belsprifife, is moving toBedford.)By MRS. R.D. HAMBLINMr. and Mrs. R.D. Hamblin of Belspring were honored with a, surprise party by their children in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary Sunday afternoon in the fellowship hall of Belspring United Methodist Church. Their sons are Danny, Keith and Dennis Hamblin.Miss Becky Giles made and decorated the four tiered cake of white, pink and green, topped with silver wedding bells. Fruit punch, huts and mints were served to the following family members: Miss Alice Hedge, Radford; Mr. and Mrs, J.W. Adkins, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Adkins of Fairlawn; Mr. and Mrs. Arless Owens, Jr., and Miss Becky Giles of Belspring; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hamblin, Ronald and Ricky, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adkins, and Donnie, Radford; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hamblin Jr., and Andy and Mike of Dublin; Mr. and Mrs. Kdth Martin and Brian of Vinton.Mr. and Mrs. Hamblin were married Dec. 15,1950, in Radford in the home of the late Rev. W.H. King. They received lovely gifts from all present.The Belspring Homemakers Club held their Christinas party in the home of Mrs. Bill Schwind. The house was decorated in the Christmas decor. The candlelight luncheon was served buffet style after which a short business meeting was held.Mrs. E.L. Morgan Just returned from a family trip to Peurto Rico and the Virgiii Islands,gave a talk on her trip. Mrs. Morgan, having been raised in Peurto Rico noted the changes that had taken place over the years.Special guest at the party was Mrs. E.L. Bays, who is moving to her new home in Bedford this week .She was presented a ginger jar as a gift from the club.The other club members exchanged Christmas gifts and Mrs. Ralph Holmes, president of the dub, was also presented a gift. Others present were: Mrs. R.D. Hamblin, Mrs. Jeff White, Mrs. Walter Ruben, Mrs. Basil Duncan, Mrs; Fred Foster, Jr., Mrs. Abe Nester, Mrs. Claude Giles, and the hostesses. The January meeting will be with Mrs. Duncan.
