The lower gym turned from the hollow echoing cheers for the athletic teams to the wonderful sound of Christmas. In the center of the floor was a large Christmas tree glittering with lights. Other colored lights shone on cadets in blue coats, on brilliantly shined brass, in the eyes of the girls, and on their gaydresses.The sounds of Christmas music filled the room, as a record player played for three solid hours. The couples danced in the holiday spirit. About midway through the evening refreshments of punch and cookies were served. The main trou-*ble has been the delay in submitting articles in time to meet deadlines. These late articles have caused extra work for the faculty adviser and the printers of the school paper. Some staff members do not realize the re-sponsibility that a newspaper man must assume in careful and prompt coverage of events.However, some senior members have proved their worth and loyalty, such as Briney, Salter, Byczynski, Martinez, and Slotkowski.
