ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY.Another year is near Its close. We will soon say 1909. We want to make it eventful for Fort Hill. It wil be its one hundredth anniversary. A fort wasbuilt hereby the earlv settleis in 1809. In memory of the place a church was erected in the year 1860. To honor these land marks we propose a scheme of celebration for Dext 4th of July.When we look back we find the names of those who first settled here are as follows: In 1809, Micajah Allen, Noah Fouts, Ransom Johnson, Samuel Hartley, Arthur Richardson, Phiibert Wright Lind ley, Alexander;. In 1810, William Wright: 1813, Christian Berkey; 1815, Adam Cauble, sr. We will enroll all the first. The early ministers of this Fort we record Jacob Wright,Lemuel Martin, France, Mavity, Aaron Hubbard, James Rudder, Cribb, Asbury Gardner and many others later on. Now let us make next jear of long remembrance. We ask all those who will be interested in such a celebration to send such encouragement that arrangements may be made for the occasion.
