The Northwestern Cabinet company has been doing business in Burlington for a number of years. Their factory has been located, up to the present time, on Front street, numbers 107, 109, 411 and 413. They have employed thirty men and boys, and have paid them good living wages. The new plant will be lof-atcd on Mt. Pleasant street, beside the Burlington tracks, and close to Osborn street. The large building formerly occupied by the Burlington Wire Mattress company has been leased from the Iowa State Savings bank. The building is of brick, with stone foundations, hard wood floors, and a good strong roof. Carpenters have been at wrk upon theremodeling of the building for abouta month, and they have now almost completed the improvements which are to be made. New flooring is being put in, the wood work is being painted and the general appearance of the place being improved in a dozen ways. Holes are being cut in the floors, where the iron shaft and great leather belts will pass through from one floor to another.
