Hillsdale will observe their 50thwedding anniversary with an open house at 1he Bankers Grange Hal! on Dec. 18 from 2 to 4 in the afternoon.Myrtie Carlisle and Lewis Harrold McDowell were married Dec, 28, 1916 in the First Methodist parsonage in Hillsdale, by the Rev. Louis DeLa-marter. Both have always lived in Hillsdale Countv.They have been members of Bankers Grange for 36 years and are members of Pomona and State Grange. Mr. McDowell has been a farmer all of his life and a Hillsdale Schoolbus driver for the past 12 years.They are the parents of two sons, Charles of rte. 1, North Adams, and Merton, who died in 1947.
