WALTHAM MASONS OBSERVE 100TH ANNIVERSARYWALTHAM, Dec 14—Nearly 300 mem- jbers of Monitor Lodge, A. P. and A. M.f attended the meeting last evening 111 connection with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the institution of the lodge. Grand Master Arthur D. Prince and members of his staff took part in the program.The principal business was the installation of the new officers, Howard ! O. Hatch, being inducted to the office of master. The meeting was opened by ' WM John M. Gibbs with a brief address. PGM Melvin M. Johnson, who receivedhis degree in Monitor Lodge, delivered an eloquent address of welcome. The installation ceremonies were in charge of GL F. L. Putnam, assisted by Grand Marshal Alvin F. Pease. Grand Master Prince complimented the lodge on its great record curing the century of Us existence. Music was furnished by a quartet.Retiring master Gibbs was presented a past master’s jewel and apron, The presentation was made by PGM John- jeon. Brother Nathan Oobe presented the 1 lodge a large portrait of George Washington In his regalia as master of the lodge At Alexandria, Va.Tonight the lodge will wind up the . celebration with a banquet at Nuttings when the grand oltlcers and others prominent in the order will bo guests.
