Princeton.Pedestrian Killed By TruckKyle Brooks. 64. of Wilco, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday as a result of injuries received when he was struck by a truck earlier in the day. according to Trooper C.M. Turner of the McDowell detachment of the West Virginia State PoUce who is investigating the incident.Brooks was apparently trying to cross Rt. 103 halfway between Wilco and Havaco, when he was struck and run over by a 1979 Plymouth Arrow truck driven by Paul Mullins, 28, of Welch at about 4:15p.m.Mullins, who was traveling north on Rt. 103, came around a curve about a mile from Wilco and saw the victim, according to Turner. Although Mullins attempted to stop, Turner said, the truck skidded around and Brooks was hit by the rear of the truck and knocked about 46 feet The truck then ran over the victim, still traveling sideways, Turner added.No charges have been filed pending completion of the investigation.In an unrelated incident, a 12-year-old boy received minor injuries in a pedestrian-vehicle accident on the Old Bramwell Rd. Tuesday afternoon, according to Trooper L.J. McCarty of the Mercer County detachment of the West Virginia State Police.Michael Mustek of Rt. 4 Box 129, Bluefield, had been dropped off by a Midway Mission Day School bus.
